Thanks all for the warm welcome, here is a pic of my new baby.  I'm stripping off the chrome and stainless this week and the insides as well.  I've already restored the fuel tank and sending unit, I've got the parts on the way for the rear axel (new axels and a proper brake drum puller) as my axels are really mushroomed.  I'm having Right Way Spring Co. in Tacoma rebend and do whatever repairs to the rear springs need in 2 weeks time.  I bought the basic kit from AAJ Brakes in Portland OR for a front disk brake conversion.  I must say it's very well made.  I hope after I get the rear springs and axel done and back in the car to pull ou the motor and transmission, then I can install the new front brakes, rebuild the front end and have a rolling body.  Then it can get painted (mine is white roof with coral gray body)  I am painting it maroon with a white roof, and my inside is currently done in cocoa (looks more pale pink to me) and it's also going to be maroon/white/silver.  I am getting Desoto door panels as I like the style better and doing Desoto seats to go with it.  I'm very lucky that the body of my car is in very nice condition.  I will need almost no work to it before painting it.  The motor and tranny I'm just going to replace seals, and clean it up a bit, rebuild the carb, new harden valves and seats, new bearings, water pump, timming chain etc.  It's only has 79963 mile on the car and it runs very well except for the lifter tick that just won't see to stop....we will see how much work I will have to do to the motor.  All in all it's a nice car.  I hope to make it a very nice driver.  I'm still tring to find front and rear window rubber and the 2 door HT rubber that goes on the roof line to seal the windows.  One day I will find it tail light bezels...one day.  Both of mine are badly damaged.  It's not too much work....just a bit of time.
