Re: Fuel Tank

Ok Ray...
Take it off the vehicle, remove sending unit.....(if it bad, good time for a new one) flush it with water till clean, put in some rocks, shake it up, flush again. Put in sun to dry out, repeat procedure, a few times.
Bet u will get half a 5 gallon bucket of trash and rust.
Blow out fuel lines with compressed air.
They have a coating you can put in the tank (I never go that expense)..any minor leaks can be brazed up.
You are good to go with only a small beer investment.

Not dirty. Rusty. Very fine rust. Seeing that a year after having to replace the fuel line is a good indication that the inside of the tank is rusty as well.

I took the liberty to change the subject.....

If you just got dirty fuel, why not just remove the tank and  clean?

Didn’t hear u say it was leaking....

They make a inside coating also...
