Correction; the Syntech 20-50 IS a full synthetic...I guess the e-mail went 
out before I could delete and re-write.

Anyhow, a full synthetic usually finds all the small/micro gaps in our 
gaskets...but that is with zero to 5W oils; this being a 20-50W should not 
pose a real problem but with your mileage you may want to run the ZDDP 
additives.  Do a cost analysis for the miles you drive and if they are low 
miles you may want to continue using your current oil with the ZDDP 
additives on the market and save the full synthetic oil for after a rebuild.
