priming an oil pump



 If you ever need to do this with the oil pump installed , try this.
You will need a oil pump priming shaft. Take the oil filter off. The
center threaded pipe.--.: take a grease gun and tape the end of the
flexible hose so it fits snuggly in that center hole. .Pump grease in
as you turn the pump backwards from its normal rotation.  This will
put grease into the pumps gear cavity, and then you can prime the pump
in the usual way..............................MO
