Re: Poly Block Prep & Freeze Plugs

The local Napa couldn't find them (the counter person that always
happens to answer the phone when I call isn't too sharp). but the
place that will be hot-tanking the block did. Hot tank, freeze plugs,
and installation thereof is gonna cost me ~$80. Not too bad I think.

Here's another question...how many freeze plugs and block plugs should
I be pulling??

I count (6) 1.625" freeze plugs, (1) 1 7/8" cam plug, (2) water jacket
plugs in the side of the block, (3) plugs in the back of the block,
and (1) plug in the oil filter base. Do poly's have a small freeze
plug under the #5 main cap like I remember in the LA motors having? I
just want to make sure I get all the plugs out so I have the best
chance of getting all the crap out of this block.
