Re: Radiator

It's a matter of Fact. Its a proven fact that physical properties of
copper metal have better heat transfer capabilities than aluminum.
Given this fact, any radiator core with the same number of tubes &
fins made out of copper will transfer a more heat than the exact same
core made out of aluminum. Dont let anyone tell you different.

That said, We all do know that aluminum works, and it can work well, I
dont run it, but I understand why people do. Cost, Weight and
availability are usually the reasons why.

Valiant front clip on your street rod.. Curious to see pic's of it.
If putting the radiator in, I bet the project is getting close.

There is also a matter of opinion as to which one is more efficient...aluminum seems to win out. Aluminum is also cheaper. It is going in a street rod, with a Valiant front clip, needs to be a down draft as I could not get to the radiator cap or hoses if it was a cross flow. It is not a stock vehicle that I am trying to restore. I have went with a 2000 cfm Flex-A-Lite electric fan with shroud.

I had a shop in CA that had built 2 radiators for me in the past but due to their long lead time and other things I decided not to do business with them again. I have found a new shop to make my radiator. They have been excellent so far. I will keep you guys posted as to my results.
