I just changed my pump a week ago, I didn't have to mess with power steering at all, just loosened the alt. before u try again use some pb blaster to penetrate the bolt and loosen it. Works for me but u gotta spray and let it sit then I come back spray again then try. Get a bolt removal bit for ur drill and see if you can remove stuck bolt. Prolly gonna have to remove radiator and all that stuff as well to get room tho.
