"Burning" an Oil Pan

I'm attempting to clean up some of the parts that I CAN use off my
trashed poly block. When I got to the oil pan, it's the nastiest thing
I've ever seen. The goop that's in the oil pan is so thick that brake
clean won't even cut it. So my question is...is it going to
irreparably screw up my oil pan if i literally light it on fire to
burn this crap off, since it's extremely to get off by other means??
