Yea, people are telling me just to take it to the shop and have them find it. I know a very good tranny man, I might do that. I'm still debating on putting the right stuff on the dipstick though. May be my whole problem. A drop of tranny fluid does go a mile it seems

I just dropped my transmission off at the shop today.  It was rebuilt in 1986 I think at 77k, I have a receipt that states the transmission was slipping in 1986 at 77k.  When I took the transmission out the t-converter looked new and everything inside was shinny clean.  I'm just having it checked out, cleaned up and new seals.  Worst case to rebuild it, 350.  They are not that hard to pull out if you needed to.  Not like the new cars at all!
