I was told by one machinist friend and his machinist buddy that my engine is trash now. The piston skirt scratches are too invasive and especially since they are on the cylinder walls too they indicate a lack of piston wall oiling. I don't have enough oil capacity to survive my high rpm runs. I intend to get a couple other opinions and decide what to do afterwards. I didn't think the pistons were a problem. See, I'm not a real genius after all :-)

I did figure I was pushing the envelope with only 5 qts of oil and a stock pump going up to 7500rpms at the end. Let's just say I didn't baby it. Anyway I will have to see how my resources come together and figure what direction I will go from here. I always planned to build a cruiser next. If it's too expensive to continue in the race mode then maybe this is my time to change. I hate to do that though since I am so close to really being where I was hoping to be.
