Don,
Anyone who does much A/C work should have oil. Take a clean container-they probably buy in bulk quanity. 6 ounces should be more than enough for assembly.

I've done a few over the years and it's like a Harley V-twin with no camshaft! Really quite simple. Just be sure to only use refrigeration oil compatible with your intended refrigerant to lube the components upon reassembly. Be careful with the suction valve and flush everything with brake cleaner or some product that dries quickly, leaving no residue. The FSM details the procedure very well.
