Re: gutter question

Ok, sorry for the delay in getting these to you. To me it basically looks like a piece of foil tape folded over. I have a 64 Hardtop and it appears stock to me.  In the photos  I tried to give you a reference with a measure.  I took a couple with the tape removed, but the shadow of it shows how small / big the piece was.  There is one on the pillar too that is the same. Then I took some with the tape in place, but  pealed back. I couldn't get a good picture of what the tape looks like, but it is the same as foil tape used for duct work.  Hope it helps...

Subject: gutter question
On a 64 B body that has trim covering the rain gutter or drip rail:
About 6 inches back from the front corner of the roof rain gutter,
there is a gap about 1/4 inch long in the side of the rail. ( this is
under the trim) and is on both sides. Is this gap supposed to be open
or is there some body sealer to fill the gap? I can't figger the
purpose of this gap. Whatcha think?...................MO
