Re: Running a bit hot,,,Question!

Gary,
That exact style reserve bottle is the one I'm using. It helps catch the overflowing coolant and in my cars engine compartment it don't look bad at all.

I'm also using a '22 inch,, 3 core Mopar radiator, with an after  market Hayden trans cooler in front of it,
but it seems to me that the 440 is still running a bit too hot.
Jay Rod,
65 B/B Coronet 500.

Maybe it even was 1972 or 1973? Too new for me to know. :)

Re-purposing is  a good idea. You also can buy a repro tank and add it on, e.g., http://napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?R=BK_7304514_0361065819 or http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/ovbo.html -- or even go low-buck backyard and rig up an old beer can as a fluid collector. :)

Also, you can take measurements off your 63 then go to a self-serve junkyard and walk the Mopar section. Look at what is used in the new stuff and see if something will work for you. It will probably have a Pentastar on it too, and should be low cost.

Thanks,
Gary H.
