Re: front window vent question

The pin is pretty simple to remove - finish nail, etc to punch it out. 

However, it seems to me that once you get the handle off, the end of the stud 
has a slot in it for a flat blade screw driver.  Seems that was a pretty snug 
fit. (corrosion?) Get the right width and thickness blade before you go at it.
