I got my estimate. Although it looks like they do real nice work, the price is more than I want to spend: $500+ for the heater and $100+ for the driver side air vent.

Looks like I will be doing it myself. I know Rock Auto has new cores. I saw rebuild kits somewhere just can't remember where! I'm sure I bookmarked the site but my bookmark list is so long, it is probably easier just search from scratch.

Walt, if your vendor comes to mind, let me know.

I rebuilt the heater in my 65 Valiant last fall. Wasn't difficult at all.

I have the non AC box so things are pretty simple and straightforward.

Can't seem to find the receipt for the kit or the core that I purchased....will do

more thorough search for the vendor/receipt if it would help.

The kit was great with all seals, new clips, new cardboard, etc....
