Re: Car stalls when I hit the brakes

Have you tried to hot wire the car. Wire from the battery to the coil and by pass everthing. If that fixes it you may know where to look.

Are you able to stop it from stalling by pushing the gas pedal when you brake. Had a mg with a loose wire on the starter cutting power when I stopped.

Thanks for the video and responses.

I set the float  correctly, too high,  too low , way  too high and a bit low and no matter where it sets it  stalls when I hit the brakes going forward and not backwards.

Could a semi-faulty fuel pump   cause this?   Maybe it  reverse fuel  dumps in past the needle when I hit the brakes letting it stay running?
