Do not open the throttle bores in the manifold but use a wood spacer/adapter; make your own like Rich Kinsley; this will reduce engine transfer heat by 70deg. to your carb/fuel-bowl and not impair performance at all but rather enhance it with a tapered throttle bore in the spacer and cooler fuel.

Doing well, thank you!

The cast iron four barrel intake was produced on our 277-303 Poly in 1956
with a very square pad and bolt pattern for early WCFB carbs.
From 1957 thru 1962 the cast iron four barrel was installed on Mopars with
the H-style pattern that will accept WCFB, AFB, and Holley style carbs; the
latter carbs all requiring a spacer adapter to clear the smaller throttle
bores in the manifold.
