i agree stock  new good working radiator and fan shroud works well. I think many people don't understand how important a shroud is . if you have good temps without one great, but to insure

i have a stock 3 core  with factory shroud and 7 blade fan in my 66  fury with a mild 440 and it stays cool even when i lived in NC on those hot summer days.I also have a stock 3 core in my 65 coronet with a factory shroud and 7 blade fan and facory a/c which will idle in traffic all day long on the hottest days with the a/c on and the guage never climbs past 1/4 now granted it is only a fresh poly motor,,i think a clean stock 3 core with shroud would def do the trick jm2cw...Joe

A three did well for me in a stroked 440. Ran it during my stay in west Texas without any problems.
