Re: Mopar Mystery's

Yup,,, I remember all my many Road Runners and GiTXess with 4 gears had the hurst handle,, and crushed lower dash pads after they got sloppy from slammin into 3rd.  My remedy was a Hurst "Super Shifter", as I wasn't wild about the inline units.  They were short, so for racing you had to move the seat up a bit,,, but it worked well.  I always did, and still do wish to have a 4 gear in my '63.  Tried to buy a parts car years back with the original '63 4 speed, but couldn't get it done.  Mostly wanted the pedals ect, and bell housing to adapt a 833 to it. Didn't get it done, but it's still a fantasy.
Those were fun days, I'd borrow a million dollars at 20 percent interest to live it all again !!

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
