Re: Pertronix

Hello,

If you have a strong spark from the coil to the distributor the
Pertronix seems to be working fine. It appears you have a problem in
the distributor unrelated to the Pertronix. I would check the cap and
rotor.

I agree going with Ma Mopar for ignition is a very good way to go if
you want to mount the box on the firewall or try to find a place to
hide it like under the battery tray.

Personally I use the Pertronix Flame Thrower III because it has an
internal rev-limiter and I don't want to see the box.

You may want to call Pertronix and talk to their Tech person, I have
done very well with them in the past when I had a problem. The person
I talked to was very good at helping me trouble shoot a problem I was
having.

I had the advantage of having a stock distributor, coil and ballast
resistor and I could easily go back to stock to help with the trouble
shooting.

Good Luck
Dennis
