Dennis,

Either I'm not being clear or not smart; maybe both.

The Pertronix Ignitor lives inside the distributor and replaces the
points.  If the Pertronix is on the other side of the wire from the
coil and the spark is good going into the distributor, how do you know
the Pertronix is good?

BTW, I did replace the rotor, even though the original still looked pretty good.
