The other day I had to replace my wipers for the first time since I've owned my '64 300. I found that the so-called replacements (I think bought from Rock Auto, but I wouldn't swear to it) were not made same way the originals were made, so I had to modify the by using the metal inserts from the old blades and putting them on the new ones. It's kind of a pain, but it seemed to work. Anyway, does anyone know of a source for PROPER replacement blades?
Also, does anyone know how one would keep the metal arms of the wipers from scratching the windshield as they reach the far end of their sweep? When I get a new windshield, I'd like to keep it nice.
Incidentally, does anyone know where a '64 300 windshield could be found for a more reasonable price than $700? It's not a wiper question, but it's related.. sorta. ;)
Oh yeah, has anyone ever installed a intermittent control for wipers? The two-speed control generally works as I'd like, but sometimes it would be nice to have a few more speeds...
