Thank you, Gary, for the subject change. I haven't even opened
those "abridged summary" posts even though I know there may have
been content of interest. As you said, taking that "shortcut" makes it difficult (impossible!) to scan post titles and follow an interesting thread. Simply clicking "reply" preserves the original thread title unless someone has posted that "abridged summary.....blah, blah, etc...." in the subject line. If that's what's in the subject line, it gets repeated and further obscures the reason for the original post. FWIW, I've never understood the reason for it anyway. Just another facet of my ignorance, but I'll live with it. Please, folks, as a personal request from me, don't do this. Take an extra moment to be sure the subject line continues the original thread!
