I wish I had the luxury of so much room on my B Body. Its that tight for RHD Australian assembled cars that we have a remote filter, and steering shaft and gear all fitted in that side as well. The best we can do is make custom headers and hope for the best.

Posted up for a spare driver’s side manifold here and Gary P. hooked me up.

 

You take a driver’s side manifold, cut it close to where the arrow is pointing, rotate it and weld it making an opposite manifold for the passenger side.  (Welding cast iron being the difficult step).  When all was done, had it surfaced then installed with new gaskets and down pipe.

 

Much cleaner look, no tight bend threading close to steering arms, no more stuck heat-riser restriction.  And you can actually get the oil filter out from below, instead of wrestling it from above.  Have to run a little cooler too one would think.
