RE: Brake Update

I seem to recall that when I was thinking about converting to a dual master cylinder in my 65 Belvedere I was told that I needed to make some changes to the pedal.  Is the stock brake pedal in the Barracuda OK to use as is?

Nothing wrong with staying all drums.  Pre-bent stainless kit is the way to go, much easier to work with for final fitment.  I put a second full loop in the line from the master cylinder - try that with standard steel lines.

Got those and the (’73-’76 A body) front disc kit from:  http://www.getdiscbrakes.com/

Supplied 15/16” Master cylinder Centric 130.63017 seemed too spongy for manual disc/drum brakes.  Swapped it out for a 1 - 1/32” bore part number NMC1515.

There is also a 1 - 1/8” Mopar master available - lots of good brake info here too:

I am thinking about updating my 64 Barracuda to go from the single-line braking system to a dual-line system, and using a full brake-line kit, in conjunction with a new master cylinder and proportioning valve block to get there.  I was thinking that if I use a master cylinder and line kit (either pre-bent or bend-your-own) from a 68-69 Dart/Barracuda, that would work.  I do not plan on going from drum to disk, just keeping the drums all the way around.

Wouldn't this later A-body brake system work on the 64 Barracuda (Slant 6/ manual brakes)?  I am trying to keep this a relatively simple procedure, while updating the system for safety (I know disks are safer.  Don't want to go there...).
