Re: Welcome retuning member - '65 Plymouth Belvedere II / '65 Valiant Signet convertible

Thanks all for the welcome.

Tom, I'm glad to hear you are still working on the gt convertible, and would love to hear more about it.

My Valiant is a now rolling chassis on 15" steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps. I had to weld in one floor patch, and welded in subframe connectors. Rebuilt an 8 3/4 rear and hung it on new springs. Rebuilt front end with 73-76 disc setup and added a sway bar and 16:1 manual box. New gas tank and lines. Recently, I did rewire the engine compartment and did some restorations on the dash (including restoring an early Barracuda steering wheel). So, it's ready for an engine and transmission. I have the original 273 block, and pulled some 302 casting 318 heads at a wrecking yard, but have done nothing on the motor yet.

Thanks again everybody.

Mark

Mark, I'm still going on my 65 gt convertible, also picked a 66 dart 170, with a hot 273 heading into it.   How's your Valiant coming along?
