Correct. The old Ford wheels had a slightly smaller centre bore. So you could run a Dodge wheel on a Ford. But try it the other way around, and you might find that getting the wheel back off is a nightmare. I’ve actually had to cut a Ford wheel at the centre bore to remove it from a Mopar.

This a little off topic but back in the day a friend of mine had a 61 Ford and I had a 61 Plymouth.  As I recall my steel wheels would fit on his Ford but not the other way around.  I think it was an issue with the size of the center hole of the Ford wheel being too small for the tapered axle on my Plymouth.
