Re: Installing 5.7 Hemi in 64 Dodge

I did 6 years ago, a 6.1 in my 63 Fury.    Back then you had to fabricate everything your self.  Today they make kits for everything

Subject: Installing 5.7 Hemi in 64 Dodge

Hi,
Have any of you installed or thought of installing a new generation 5.7 Hemi in a 62-65 B body?

I have a 2011 RAM 1500 with the 5.7 and VVT and MDS and all the bells and whistles that make it go like crazy and get really good gas mileage.
I am thinking about putting all that into a 64 Dodge.
I know it would need new fuel tank, pump, supply and return lines and all the sensors so the computer would control the engine and the variable valve timing and the multiple displacement function (drops from 8 cylinders down to 4) when not working hard.

It seems like a great project but want to know if you have done it or know someone that has .

I met Herb McCandless with his 61 300G and he has a 5.7 hemi that is carbureted.  I am more interested in the fuel injected version.

Let me know what you think about this idea.

Thanks,

regards,

K.
