RE: Mopar Tapoered Axle Brake Coversion Link

Yep most def follow the grinding & drilling tip. When I did mine, had NAPA press them out and new R/H lugs back in. I had followed the tip and cut them off flush, then drilled the centers. They said their job was so easy with me doing that work, they charged me less labor.

Here's my rear brake notes:

Brake Shoes (10” x 2.5”)
Rear most adjuster access hole.

ND 440-1129 Rear brake drums
BK 641-1087 Lug studs 1/2-20 UNF 0.623" knurl

Centric 118.63009 Springs & hardware kit (Missing 2 springs)
ClassicIndustries.com	Springs & hardware kit 10” ?

Wagner F98347S Adjuster kit - Right
Wagner F98346S Adjuster kit – Left

Rear wheel cylinders 15/16 bore, 7/16-20 line thread size. NAPA 36052

Thanks Dennis. That is the same article that is in a slightly different version linked on the 62-65 Tech page, about 1/3 the way down. http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/techstuff.html

http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/Mopar_tapered_axle_rear_brake_conversion is the direct link.

I don't know which version of that article appeared first, but I agree it is good information. Don't forget to use the tip reminder provided here by MO so you do not mushroom the threads on the axle.
