For a points ignition, a dwell meter is a handy tool
to have . And in-expensive. Most of them will tell dwell and RPM for
under-hood tuneing. Is your engine harder to start than it had been? I
would expect a too close point gap, and a dwell meter will tell you without even
needing to take the dist. cap off. Points are easy to maintain if
your dist. is on the front end of the engine. Good
