RE: Poly coming out party

Don’t know of any emails from Ben… I will say that I too was pretty disgusted with how the project went… We had a sample manifold at MATS and then no movement for six months… Finally I knew by July something was rotten in Denmark and as soon as we finished Summer Tour I dragged my wife to California and parked in the parking lot at the foundry for two weeks to finally get some sort of reading… The first day I spent 8 hours porting and polishing manifolds that had been sitting for months… The second day they went to wheelabrator (shot blast) and the third day I hauled them to the machine shop and picked up four sets of valve covers and got them to the polisher and coater for sample treatments.  In the meantime I was informed by a very genuine foundry owner of the details on ‘what happened,’ that the tooling ended up being $5000 more than the first ‘guesstimate’ and there were some very confusing signals coming and is why he parked it til I showed up…

I have now shipped 7 manifolds and two sets of valve covers starting last Thursday… More manifolds will go out Monday and more valve covers will be back from the machine shop about Wednesday… Then 12 more manifolds will be back from heat treat and wheelabrator by Wednesday and go to the machine shop. I should have them the following week where I will take them back to Texas so my wife and I can restart our lives and I’ll be shipping from home base… Once we have reports back from those first manifolds we’ll adjust any concerns and cast another 50…

In reality this project was the dream of enthusiasts who had never undertaken a project of this magnitude before… We are not businessmen but we’ve learned to become businessmen… Every manifold shipped COSTS US $578 and we only charged $399 originally based on some fuzzy math… However, as the manifold gets put on motors we know there will be a huge demand and as we produce 100 at a time our costs then will be able to go down and we’ll be able to make enough to keep the overhead paid and make more people happy…

Thanks for everyone’s patience-especially my wife… If you go watch her foundry tour on our Chrysler Power fb page and see where she’s had to exist for 4 weeks, you’d be glad you weren’t there with your wife… These are all great people!  They do parts for every speed merchant of any repute on the planet-Arias, Donovan, Shelby, BDS, Stage V, Enderle, Good Vibrations and on and on… This is a huge quality project and the proof will be in the pudding… Again, thanks for everyone’s patience and support!  We didn’t do it for ourselves and we can’t do it without you!

Roland

While you're there expounding all that's good, Roland... how about answering Ben Simpson's e-mails about his purchase?

He's pretty disgusted at the way he's been treated thus far.
