Body Trim Installation Questions, 63 SF

Hello,

First, what is the trim strip called that runs from the front wheel well to the rear wheel well under the door?

Mine were put on by the painter years ago.  I have a couple of clips that have came loose and not sure who to try to reattach them.  It looks like the clip attaches to the car and from what I can see it has a square piece that snaps into the trim.

I have some of the clips that are still attached to the car but the square part is out of the trim

Do I need to take the trim completely off or can I use a soft mallet and get the trim reattached to the clip?

Sorry, this is not easy to explain, I attached a couple of pictures that may help.

Thanks

Dennis C.
