RE: 1965 Imperial Brakes

thanks Bill i knew someone on here would have the answers and keeping the same wheel bolt pattern big plus , Gary sorry wasn't sure how to post it didn't mean to jack the other post ,i just want to say thank you to everyone in this group , i learn so much from the posts that are put here , where i live at now not too many of the old guys left to sit around and shoot the bull , either they are younger guys or the bowties around here , when i was back in high school in the late 80's we had a wrecking yard in my hometown of Wichita falls ran by two guys a father and son the father was in his 90's, the newest  car they had was a  1977 Gran fury wagon  and older cars into the early 20's.  My best friend and i would go there more for the stories from those guys as to checking out all the cool stuff in the houses and barns ,one which was stacked to the roof with radios from all kinda cars , anyway after the father died the son in his 70's got sick and past on , someone bought the yard and crushed everything it for scrap was a sad day ,seems like a lot of the knowledge isn't being carried on by too many of the younger guys now , i'm only in my 40's and see such a change from when i was a kid and dad would take me every sat to a wrecking yard to see what new came in that week , anyway thanks guys

> Re brake conversion. You won't be able to use the 77 parts because the knuckles are substantially taller. Go to AAJBrakes.com. Buy the conversion kit for 57-66 Imperial. Don't buy the complete kit just the conversion parts and then buy rotors etc locally to save on shipping. The AAJ kit uses Ford F100 rotors which have the correct bolt pattern for 65 Imperial and are also readily available. Works out great! - Bill P.
