Re: TTI Exhaust (Pic)

You will asphyxiate your passengers & your self with them out the back.  That's the reason why all wagons use the side exit exhaust.  Got a guy with a 63 Dodge wagon out the back, comes to our cruises all the time, complains about headaches, insists it's just an urban-legend about exhaust fumes because he keeps his window up majority of the time.  A missing trunk seal can have the same effect.  Maybe TTI is trying to protect you..........?

Actually I have seen a couple of non-wagons using the side exit exhaust to be different, with great eye appeal.  Just make sure you include the angle cut on the end of your exhaust like the factory, and not be lazy like most with a square cutoff.  One other note use the factory inspired pipe that fits up in the car and not the cheap over the axle and out the side.  I hope the photo gives you an idea what I'm talking about.

Subject: TTI Exhaust

Hi, I am getting ready to order a TTI exhaust system for my '64 Plymouth wagon.  According to TTI, the station wagons have a side exit exhaust at the rear, while non wagons have the turn down exhaust that exits at rear bumper.  I don't like the look of the side exit, so my question is will the turn down exhaust fit or is the wagon spare tire well the reason why only side exit works?

Thanks!
James
