Re: 1964 dart rear end



Thank you for the replies and knowledge.  I was under my own impression that although the spring perches may be in  the correct location (73-76 Abody)  I was concerned about total width and the tires sticking out. So the car the front brakes came from can supply the rear end needed. Dakota is same total width also?

I made up a jig for re-drilling the original axles to the 4.5" pattern and got some rings turned up to press onto the wheel register. All of this would be easier for you there as we aren't allowed to weld anything on our axle shafts.

If I were in your position I believe I'd be going for the 8.25" option as it looks similar to the 7.25, it is Mopar and it's made for the job. There are also good ratio options and Sure Grips available, particularly in Dakotas.
