It's not just the bolt pattern, of course, but the wheel register size as well.

I made up a jig for re-drilling the original axles to the 4.5" pattern and got some rings turned up to press onto the wheel register. All of this would be easier for you there as we aren't allowed to weld anything on our axle shafts.

If I were in your position I believe I'd be going for the 8.25" option as it looks similar to the 7.25, it is Mopar and it's made for the job. There are also good ratio options and Sure Grips available, particularly in Dakotas.
