I don't think they have a hard surface...

It was a big deal in Australia for the trucks that they induction hardened the journals on their 318s, that indicates that there is no hardening for the car journals.

We had one bloke do a 360 Poly here, but he used a 360 bottom end and grafted the Poly heads onto it. It took some work.
