RE: Dynomax Mufflers

I have a compleat 3" TTI system with a X pipe and Dynomax mufflers on my 63 Fury and they sound great, they have a nice rumble but no drone on the road.  People ask me a lot what I have, because they like the tone/sound.  I say give them time.  BTW on my DeSoto they recommended glasspacks and I went with them, did not like them and he replaced them with their Turbo muffler at no additional cost.  The shop should make you happy!

Give them 1000 miles… These ‘packed’ muffs need lots of use to settle in to their stride don’t ya know???

Just got exhaust done on the Coronet. He installed 2.5" pipe, Dynomax Super Turbo's #17733, and an X-pipe. Anyone had any experience with these mufflers? I'm pretty sure they are the one's TTI sells with their exhaust system kits. Anyway, I gotta say I'm NOT impressed. It's so quiet it sounds stock. My old 2" system with manifolds & cheap turbo mufflers sounded better. I don't know how the X-pipe plays into it (I've never had one on a car) but I'm ready to cut them off the car already and I only got them put on Wednesday.

Any thoughts or comments?
