Ricky,

I have found that some zerks has a stuck ball fitting that need a bit of
solvent to loosen them before they will accept grease; not sure if it is because
of imported/improper manufacture or what...let us know how it works out.

Subject: Zerks !

Why is it so hard to get
grease thru a Zerk fitting!? Changed the oil, filter and lubed the ?62
Dart wagon last night. Started out with the Zerks because I expected the
battle. Good quality Lincoln pistol grip grease gun and quality
grease. Ball joints upper and lower no problemo. But several tie-rod
ends just feel solid and don?t seem to take any grease. Using a straight
tip it squeezes out around the tip. Using a 90 degree tip that clips on
same story. Use a needle tip get a perfect seal, yet it?s just solid when
trying to pump grease......

OK ? Is it just me or
what. All new suspension 3 years ago and 2,000 miles ago...........
Is that why, the new ball joints just fit tightly together blocking the grease
flow?

Even when lubing my 2008
GMC ¾ ton truck which has 11 zerks, it always seems a pain and a giant
mess. About to throw in the towel and go have it done with a pneumatic
grease gun. I do see Lincoln makes a handheld power grease gun. But
then again with no lift your crawling around underneath trying to get in all
these tight places, making getting a seal on the Zerk even
tougher........--
