Re: Wheel Alignment Specs?

nico,

not sure about dropped spindles, but the alignment angles to use to correct bump steer or toe change due to front suspension travel:
1 1/2 degrees positive caster and 1/4 degree positive camber -- it corrects the toe pattern to within an 1/8 inch total toe change
throughout the suspension travel.

consider a 90/10 drag shock using washers stacked on the underside of the inner fender to extend the length of the shock and remove the upper control arm bump stops to increase front suspension travel aiding in weight transfer.

if you are using calvert traction bars, use their split mono-leaf and not SS springs.  make sure you have a 4 degree pinion angle, follow the instructions on pre-load, and remove  your pinion snubber.

Have just completed a complete rebuild of my 63 Dodge 330 including dropped spindles, tubular control arms, adjustable aluminum strut rods and a disc brake conversion. Am considering doing some 1/8 and 1/4 mile excursions soon. Was wondering what the group would recommends as to wheel alignment specs considering drag racing and using a Calvert rear setup?? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, have alignment appointment this Wed. Thanks in advance.
