You are right on the different throttle bore carbs for the Big Blocks but
those pesky Polys came with miniscule carbs, cool looking AFB’s, but there CFM
rating is so much lower than our aftermarket offerings
and correspond to the equally small OEM Poly manifold throttle bores.
It is a “good thing” though when you must use and adapter with the Poly as you
can treat them to the neat Rich Kinsley style wooden adapter/heat
insulators...he dropped 80deg. F from manifold to carb on his dual quad Le
Roar.
