RE: 318 Poly

All I know is the Poly 318 is fun to work on, adjusting the valve lash and all. I had a car-nut guy follow me home in the wagon Tuesday - his folks had a 440 trim '62 Dart wagon when he was a kid - and he wants a '62 wagon badly - already has the big block waiting..... That might explain why when I popped the hood he did not recognize it as the original 318 at first....... Then he called it the "wide block" - so I knew he was on the same page. I don’t call it a Poly to most peeps out of the loop.

Or maybe it is the camouflage of the new "speed" parts - you do miss the scallops in the heads when looking at the cast valve covers from above.

Hey guys - I am back - been off the list a few months........

Years ago they unfortunately had almost no resale value. Now there are a lot of speed equipment aftermarket parts made for them so people are saving and using them again. A lot depends on where you are located (supply / demand varies) and the condition of the Poly. (# miles, running etc.).
