Re: front suspension

Hey Paul,

I agree with Ricky. I was waiting to see if anybody would bring up changing the UCA's. I'm really good at spending other peoples money...... but since you're going to all this trouble anyway...... I went with the Firm Feel on all the wear parts in the front end, and new greaseable LCA pins and Torsion bars. The Ross's are great to deal with and are Mopar suspension experts.

Best regards,
Lyle

Good article on specs to shoot for come alignment time.  Although you probably can’t get there without aftermarket upper A-arms.......

Since Rich and George are local to me I'll gladly accept their offers and give it a try.

I took my 63 to the shop today for a front end alignment.  I had turned up the torsion bars for  more ground clearance.  Well they told me I need new ball joints upper and lower and new tie rod ends, plus a radius arm bushing (?).  They estimated the job at $1200.  I'm thinking I can do most of the work myself and save $$$$.  I've priced the parts on Rock Auto and they are probably less than $200.  Any pitfalls in doing this work?
