RE: aluminum case A-727 leaks

Have considered that – bought the B&M finned aluminum pan for a truck with lots of clearance.  How is the ground clearance with that Moroso 42080 pan?  Not seeing the pan in the side shot – so must be OK...........

I have read some very resourceful "fixes" in this thread. I went the easy way on the pan leak subject. I bought a new welded aluminum pan from Moroso. It has a very rigid 1/8" thick plate for the gasket rail, and comes with a very good gasket. Check it out........https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mor-42080.

I will also add as a leak potential is the tranny cooling lines. I think I'm fighting that demon now. I suspect after 50+ years of rubbing they've rubbed a pinhole in one. Just ordered new lines from SStubes (the filter delete option).

Best to all,

So maybe we can put together a list of common failure points on the PB 727 for leaks. Here are a couple to start:

* O-ring on the trans filler tube
* trans pan gasket

Others?

Thanks,
