Jimmy, thanks for the confirmation.  Next Monday we try to figure out where the whine-howl is coming from. Odd that  it is most pronounced at 1800-2200 RPM in high gear , with just very slight acceleration.  Can't rule out that it is not in the A 833 tranny. ............................MO
