I finally got out to my cars, I stand corrected my 65 has the internal locking cap, unlike my 63 with the two dimples.  I guess the can the previous owner used as a cap through me off.  My Polara uses the cap with the inside latches.  Douglas is yours the same?

Tomorrow I will get a photo of what we need.  I believe the cap on my 63 is the same.  The neck of the pump has two dimples protruding out opposit of each other, the cap slides over the neck and has raised slots that slide over the dimples and twist to lock on.  the TRW pump locks to the neck internally.  So no they are not the same.

Hi Jason

It will be kind of hard to send a picture of the cap as I dont have one !!  Yeah I can be a little sarcastic but in this hobby that is about all keeping us sane anymore.  I am sending you a picture of the top of the neck for the pump where the cap goes. It has bumps on the outside where the cap would catch opposed to most have notches on the inside. It is a little over  2 inches outside diameter

If you need the cap with the  inside style notches for you polara I have a contact for a guy that has that style at a reasonable price.  Let me know.
