Re: 1962 Plymouth question

Seems like there are a couple 62 Plymouths racing at Cedar Falls that are 383's with dealer installed dual fours.  Run well.

From all documentation I could find and from emails with Darrell Davis, there was a dealer installed option for a 413 inline dual quad engine toward the end of the 62 model run. It would be coded for the original engine which would have been removed to install the 413. And of course it wouldn't have been the super stock package.  As far as "1 of 50" I have never heard of such a figure. I recall for a long time the various magazines parroted each other in their features on max wedge '62 Mopars saying that there were "about 50 Dodges and 50 Plymouth made" when in fact there were well over 1000 (I don't have my copy of Davis's 62 Plymouth Super Stocks in front of me for the exact number).
