Sadly, Safeco won't consider what I present as a comparable. They did theirs and that's all they are going to accept inspite of me debunking to them that the one I knew locally as a rust bucket compared to mine.

Attorneys are not interested in vehicular damage claims from what I've found so far. My only hope apparently is for my brother who was using the Durango to file for his soft tissue injuries (and sue them?).

Remember too, you have one year to submit a full claim for any physical injuries if you are not satisfied with an offer. Just let them know you are being treated for injuries by your doctor.

For vehicle replacement costs, what also I do is not accept the first offer for replacement costs.

Start gathering information on comperablly equipped vehicles by searching with Auto Trader, Hemmings, local weekly papers, etc., etc. Gather all the comparable vehicles offered for sale, collect and save the adds. When complete total them all up and average the costs. That is what you will present for replacement of your vehicle. It is what you can do when you are at no fault.
