Re: SWAPPING IN A A-833 4-SPEED INTO MY 64 FURY WHICH IS CURRENTLY A PUSHBUTTON 727 AUTOMATIC.

The shifter cable can be removed from the push button assy.with a little care. It is "crimped", for want of a better word and you have pry it open being careful not to break the metal if you want to reuse the push buttons in the future or resell them.

IS IT BEST TO UNHOOK THE CABLES FOR THE AUTOMATIC AT THE DASH AND SECURE THEM TO THE TRANSMISSION? THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY 727 AUTO TRANS. JUST WANT A 4 SPEED WHICH IS TO BE DELIVERED TOMORROW FROM BREWERS PERFORMANCE. ANY THOUGHTS?
