Re: SWAPPING IN A A-833 4-SPEED INTO MY 64 FURY WHICH IS CURRENTLY A PUSHBUTTON 727 AUTOMATIC.

Right Robert.

I LOOKED IN MY 64 FACTORY MANUAL AND SEEN HOW THE CLIP to the selector comes off with a couple clips! I start pulling things apart Monday. My Brewers Performance 4 speed arrived Weds afternoon late. They really do a great packing job with heavy cardboard and the foam-plastic sheeting which nestles the tranny in place neatly. Its been a long year coming collecting all the parts for this swap. But now all are here and in place including my Hurst shifter and install kit. Another thing I just realized this evening is that I do not have to pull out the entire brake pedal mounting assembly  just to get a clutch pedal in. True I have to remove my wide power brake foot pedal and put the smaller narrow brake pedal in and drill 2 holes into the fire wall for the clutch side bracket and add the clutch bracket onto the brake pedal assy. two nuts, and 2- 5/16 by 1 inch long bolts through the end of the brake, pedal main assy. Swap longer pedalsand rocker shaft bolt in and add the clutch pedal and damn.  Its easy with these factory parts which you can get from Brewers. Add my clutch assy and bolt the 4 spd up. The final project will be getting my new drive shaft made up.  This has been over a year coming!

Ricky,

Don't forget that those cables are worth some bucks as well as that shifter in case you get a push button delete plate.
